Libraries have been a part of my life since I was a kid in a small town in Northern Idaho. The library was a place of quiet; insular in its own way. But, more importantly, it was a place of expanded imagination…all those worlds, real and imagined, outside of my little town.Throughout my working career I have used our local library, the Wilsonville library for the last 27 years, continuing my enjoyment of “reading”, particularly listening to recorded books.

Now that I am retired, it seemed a good opportunity to give back to the library, both as a volunteer and as a Foundation Board member. The Foundation is an integral part of the library’s mission. It provides funds for additional projects that otherwise could not be done, and I want to be a part of that continuing broadening of the community benefit provided by the library.
